Waterjet Cutting Services
Edgar Industries offers water jet cutting services using our Omax Precision Abrasive Waterjet System. We offer waterjet cutting as an alternative to traditional machining methods. Water jet cutting completely eliminates heat affected zones, recast layers, work hardening and thermal stress. Waterjet cutting is a practical alternative to conventional tooling. We offer various edge finishes to meet our customer’s needs.
Get the results you need with the technology that cuts smooth, precise edges in any two dimensional shape from a variety of CAD files or even a scanned image. Design limitations are a function of your creativity. IF YOU CAN DRAW IT, WE CAN CUT IT!
Edgar Industries offers CNC controlled water jet machining utilizing a Tilt-a-Jet head that allows us to eliminate the taper you get from a traditional waterjet kerf. We have a 6 foot x 12 foot work envelope. Our machine can hold tolerances of ±0. 003 inches. Our Omax Jet Machining center is perfect for Virtually any job requiring maximum material yield with minimal waste. We offer the best nesting ability possible.
Edgar Industries has performed expert waterjet cutting of a wide array of materials from steels and stainless steels to ceramics, plastics and wood. Let us help you procure, handle, cut, fabricate and deliver your most important projects on time and on budget.

Cutting Axis
Cutting Axis is the number of axes of motion a cutting machine is capable of cutting. 2-axis machines are used to cut flat sheet material while a 3-axis machine is used to cut three dimensional parts. Some 5-axis and 6-axis machines can perform cutting operations on parts that have been pre-formed by casting or machining.-
